Clachnacuddin cruised into the North of Scotland Cup semi finals with a first half blitz which blew Wick Academy away in Inverness.

Clach broke the deadlock after nine minutes when Robbie Thompson laid on a great pass from James Anderson in the box and fired a low drive past Graeme Williamson.

Clachnacuddin doubled their advantage seven minutes later when a cross from the right wing found Lewis Mackenzie in the box who composed himself before firing past Williamson.

The Lilywhites were then 3–0 up after 23 minutes when Martin Callum received a pass from halfway and played through to Connor Bunce who fired into the back of the net from 10 yards out.

Wick Academy were only able to produce one real chance in the first half when James Henry fired a low shot from 15 yards out towards the bottom left corner which was parried around the left post by a diving save from Martin Mackinnon.

Harry Hennem had a golden opportunity to pull one back for Wick at the start of the second half but blasted his shot over the bar from six yards out.

Wick were then reduced to 10 men when Jack Henry was sent off after picking up his second booking of the night 10 minutes into the second half.

Clachnacuddin will travel to Rothes in the semi final on Wednesday, August 31.
