A manager’s office, as well as other rooms at Grant Street Park which were destroyed in the Christmas Eve blaze, have also been rebuilt.

The Lilywhites were left homeless following the fire and had to relocate for two months.

As well as renovating the dressing rooms, MacGregor’s Construction has also made the building safe and created a new medical room.

Clach chairman Alex Chisholm said he was pleased with the finished result.

“Everyone is delighted to bring it up to where it is now,” he said.

“Making the structure safe was our top priority and new cladding has been added to the roof.

“Internally, the home changing rooms have been refurbished. We have also added a new medical room which will be used for physiotherapy and we are looking at renting out the room as a business concern.

“The new wash room has been fully refurbished and there is the manager and coaching team’s office as well.

“A new ceiling has also been added to the away dressing room, as well as a few changes to the internal layout.

“There is more space for the players to make use of than was previously there.

“We are pleased with the refurbishment MacGregors have carried out.

“Our facilities are now of a great standard and they will stand us in good stead as we look to move forward.”

Clachnacuddin were forced to play at Canal Park, home of Highland Rugby Club, while repairs were carried out.

The club returned to Merkinch in March, but were only able to play one match, a 3-0 defeat to Formartine United, before the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the season being concluded early.

Clachnacuddin finished last season in 15th place and have seen a change in manager, with Jordan MacDonald taking over as boss after previous manager Sandy McLeod resigned from the post.
