McLeod wants Clachnacuddin run in Highland League Cup
Clachnacuddin will look to ensure their Highland League Cup campaign doesn’t fall at the first hurdle when they head to Strathspey Thistle in the preliminary round.
After suffering their ninth league defeat of the season at Rothes last weekend, manager Sandy McLeod is looking for his team to find more joy in cup competition this season.
The two teams met in the first round of the North of Scotland Cup earlier this season when goals from Eachainn Miller and Alan Kerr gave Clach a 2-1 win at Seafield Park.
Clachnacuddin have had more wins in cup games than in the Highland League this season and McLeod says they are looking to go as far as they can in the competition.
“It’s a break away from the league. We will be going there looking to get a good performance out of it.
“It is always a boost to get a result in a cup competition and get into the next round.
“We are looking to get a win and stop the freefall of results.”
