Inverness Caledonian Thistle winger Tom Walsh believes the squad are reaping the rewards from knowing each other inside out.
There were six new arrivals in the summer, although two of them – James Vincent and Miles Storey – had played in Inverness earlier in their careers.
By and large it is the same squad who have been playing together for at least a year, learning how to get the best out of each other.
Defeats early in the season to Dundee in the Betfred Cup and Dundee United in the first league game put a dampener on optimism for the campaign ahead, but since then ICT have strung together five games without defeat in all competitions.
With Queen of the South looming this weekend, Walsh wants to keep that run going, insisting the team spirit at the club has been key to their success.
“Last season it was kind of a new team, but a year on we know each other’s game inside out,” he explained.
“Three clean sheets in the league on the bounce is a great stat in terms of the team unit, everyone working for each other.
“Again on Saturday, going forward, it’s just about getting back to the way we were against Morton, firing on all cylinders, taking chances.
“We had a ruthlessness in the final third and we were keeping it tight at the back too.”
