Scottish Championship reject use of five substitutes in matches and will only be allowed to use three





The Scottish Championship have voted against using five substitutes for matches during the 2020/21 campaign.

Championship clubs will only be allowed three substitutes.

However clubs in League One and League Two have approved five substitutes being used in matches this season.

Clubs in the Championship voted on the rule with eight out of 10 clubs required to vote yes for the rule to go through.

But only three clubs in the Championship supported the five substitute proposals.

Nine clubs in League One and all clubs in League Two voted for the five substitute rule and will be used in those divisions.
