Caley Thistle have reportedly been asked if they want season to continue.

It has been reported by BBC Scotland tonight that SFA chairman Ian Maxwell has written to all teams in the division asking if they want to pause their season and asking for a decision by Monday.

It has also been reported that one Championship club contacted Maxwell requesting for all football to stop, but has not been named.

Earlier this week, all competitions apart from the Premiership and the Championship, was suspended as a result of the number of cases of coronavirus in Scotland until January 31.

Championship clubs were allowed to continue as long as they met weekly testing requirements.

Caley Thistle's match against Raith Rovers tomorrow has been postponed after the Kirkcaldy club reported an outbreak of Covid-19 among players and staff.
