Inverness Harrier Chalmers to make comeback from ankle injury at Nairn 10k





Sean Chalmers will look to make his comeback from injury aiming for victory at the Nairn 10k on Sunday.

The Dingwall athlete pulled out of the Scottish Cross Country Championships last weekend as he continued to recover from an ankle inury he sustained after winning the Scottish Inter District Cross Country Championships in January.

The Fortrose Academy PE teacher feels confident he will be able to compete for the title at Nairn.

“I just felt that after that mishap at Stirling I wasn’t quite ready to compete in last weekend’s national cross country,” he said.

He added: “It is a pity because I really do like running on mud."
