Callum Carson’s season is over after he broke his wrist in Highland Rugby Club’s 16–10 victory down at Gala.
There are five matches left in Highland’s first season in National One, but they will have to make do without Carson after he suffered the injury last weekend.
Mike Gordon also picked up an ankle knock in the win.
But while he will likely miss Saturday’s trip to Ayr he could recover to play a part in the coming weeks.
One consolation for the Canal Park outfit could be that there are no lack of players to step up and stake their claim for a first team spot.
