Who were the men who caused one of the biggest Scottish Cup shocks of all time? We take a look at the Inverness Caledonian Thistle team which beat Celtic 3-1 in the Scottish Cup third round 25 years ago.
Originally played for Inverness Thistle when he joined the club in 1977 and started off as a striker until he suffered a knee ligament injury at the age of 26. He then changed position to a goalkeeper where he played from 1994 to 2002 and made 167 appearances for the club. He then signed for Nairn County, playing 51 times for the club.
After leaving County in 2005, he took up short-term contracts at several Highland League clubs, including Clachnacuddin, Rothes and Forres Mechanics.
As late as 2007, the 46-year-old Calder even made an appearance in the Scottish Football League for Peterhead. He has also returned to Caley Thistle to coach their youth teams. Now out of football and working as a builder.
Born in British Columbia in Canada, his family emigrated to England when he was seven before moving to Inverness where he attended Millburn Academy.
He began his football career as a teenager with Nairn County, before signing for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1994. He spent seven seasons at the club before joining Ross County in 2001. He spent one season with the Staggies before going on to Grazer AK in Austria and MVV Maastricht in the Netherlands. He then returned to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2004 where he spent five seasons and made 133 appearances. He then joined Hamilton Academical in 2010 and spent two seasons with Brora Rangers in the Highland League in 2012 and 2013.
He made 59 appearances for Canada between 1998 and 2010 including winning the Gold Cup in 2000. Is the former manager of Highland League clubs Inverurie Locos and Rothes.
Ross Tokely (Defender)
Holds the record for the most appearances for the club. Tokely joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1996 where he played for 16 years.
He played and scored in every division of Scottish league football, from Third Division to the SPL for Inverness. He left in 2012 and spent one season with Ross County. Then went to join Brora Rangers in the Highland League in 2013 where he spent five seasons.
He became manager of Brora Rangers in December 2016 before leaving towards the end of the 2017-18 season. He returned to Inverness Caledonian Thistle to become their Under-16 Youth Team coach. He was appointed manager of Nairn County in April last year but stood down from the role in January.
Mark McCulloch (Defender)
Originally starting his career at Clachnacuddin, McCulloch signed for Dunfermline Athletic in 1994 before returning to his hometown to sign for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1997.
He then joined Livingston in 2001 before joining Partick Thistle the following season. He returned to the Highlands to sign for Ross County in 2002 and spent seven seasons at Dingwall. He then signed for Forfar Athletic in 2009 where he was made captain. He officially retired in 2014 after failing to recover from a knee injury suffered in a cup tie against Dundee in August 2013.
Bobby Mann (Defender)
Spending the first seven years of his career at Forfar Athletic, Mann signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1999.
He spent five seasons at the Caledonian Stadium before joining Dundee in 2004. Then signed for Peterhead in 2007 and Highland League club Formartine United in 2011 before retiring in 2012. He was assistant manager at Formartine United to Steven Paterson. Now believed to be working outside of football.
Golabek began his career with Highland League side Clachnacuddin, before moving to Ross County, where he played for nearly four years, before joining Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1999.
He spent two different periods at the club, firstly between 1999 and 2007 where he also spent a brief period on loan at Livingston. He then signed for Ross County in 2007 before returning to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2009. He then signed for Brora Rangers in 2011 before retiring from football in 2014.
Charlie Christie (Midfielder, striker)
Originally playing for Caledonian and Inverness Thistle in the Highland League, Christie signed for Celtic in 1987 where he spent two years. Returned to Inverness to play for Caledonian in 1989 and was part of the original Inverness Caledonian Thistle squad which was formed in 1994. Played for the club until he retired in 2004 as he made 257 appearances.
After retiring as a player, Christie continued in his role as a youth development coach at Caley Thistle. In November 2004, when John Robertson left Caley Thistle to become manager of Hearts, Christie assisted the club's director of football Graeme Bennett in managing the team until a replacement could be found. When Craig Brewster joined as player-manager Christie was made first team coach and continued in this role until January 2006 when he went on to be made permanent manager. Christie remained in the job for nearly 19 months before his resignation in August 2007. Christie became involved in the club’s academy in 2009 and took on the role of head of youth development. Is now interim chief executive at Caley Thistle.
Mike Teasdale (Midfielder)
Originally from Elgin, the midfielder played for Dundee between 1993 and 1995. He signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle where he spent seven seasons and made 182 appearances for the club scoring 16 goals. He then signed for Elgin City in the Scottish Third Division and played for two seasons before retiring in 2004.
Had a brief spell at Southampton before signing for Ross County in 1992 and then moved on to Raith Rovers in 1994. Signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1996 where he spent four seasons before joining Livingston in 2000.
He spent three seasons with the West Lothian club before returning to Inverness in 2003 and played at the club for the next five years. Moved to Queen of the South in 2008 and then joined Peterhead in 2010 prior to joining Elgin City as a player-coach later that year. Started his managerial career with Wick Academy in 2012 and went on to become boss at Elgin City in 2014 before resigning later that year. Wilson returned to Inverness Caledonian Thistle as a coach, working with both the first team and the under-18 squad. He later became assistant manager, working along with Billy Dodds, until they were sacked by Inverness in September 2023.
Started his career at Alloa Athletic before spending five years in England with Southampton and a brief period with Ostersunds in Sweden in 1997 before returning to Alloa.
Signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1998 and spent three seasons with the club before joining Ayr United in 2001. Then went on to play with Aberdeen, St Johnstone and Arbroath before retiring from playing in 2014.
He was manager of Arbroath between 2010 and 2014 before joining Aberdeen and became manager of the under-20 team. Following the departure of Derek McInnes in 2021, Sheerin was appointed interim manager at Aberdeen. He took charge of one game before the club appointed Stephen Glass as the new boss. Sheerin was named as the new head coach of Falkirk but was sacked that year by Falkirk after a 6–0 defeat by Queen's Park that left them in fifth place, three points outside of the promotion play-off positions. Soon after leaving Falkirk, Sheerin took up a coaching position with Derek McInnes at Kilmarnock in 2022. He became Kilmarnock assistant manager in June 2023, after Tony Docherty had left the club to become Dundee manager.
Dennis Wyness (Striker)
Spent four years at Aberdeen before signing for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2000. He spent three seasons at the club before joining Hearts in 2003. He returned to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2006 and spent two seasons at the club before leaving in 2008 to sign for St Mirren. Went on to play for Queen of the South, Dumbarton, Peterhead, Elgin City, Buckie Thistle and Huntly.

Martin Bavidge (Striker)
Started his youth career at Forres Mechanics before signing for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1998 and spending four years at the club.
Signed for Forfar Athletic in 2002 and then joined Peterhead in 2003 where he spent the next 10 years. Signed for Highland League club Inverurie Locos in 2013 before retiring in 2017. His son Alfie Bavidge is now on loan at Inverness from Aberdeen.
Kevin Byers (Midfielder)
From Kirkcaldy, started his senior career with his hometown team Raith Rovers before signing for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1999. Spent two seasons at the club before going on to Montrose, Forfar Athletic, Brechin City, Ballingry Rovers and Kennoway Star Hearts before retiring in 2017.
Martin Glancy (Forward)
Forward who joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle from Dumbarton in 1998. He spent three seasons at the club before joining Clydebank and then played for Berwick Rangers, Queen of the South, Stranraer, Airdrie United, Stirling Albion and Bathgate Thistle.
