Nairn’s golfing prospect Calum Scott has earned the chance to compete against some of the world’s top young players at Castle Stuart later this month.

The 14-year-old was invited to represent his home area at the Duke of York Young Champions Trophy from 17-20 September.

By doing so, Scott will tread in the footsteps of golfing greats like Rory McIlroy, Matteo Manassero and Anna Nordqvist, who all took part in the tournament in their youth.

Played over 54 holes between talent from 30 nations, there will be the added thrill of competing on a course that has hosted the European Tour’s Scottish Open on four occasions.
