Inverness Caledonian Thistle brought in goalkeeper Corey Patterson on an emergency loan deal for their last League One clash against Arbroath.

The 18-year-old, who left Caley Thistle last season to sign for Highland League club Forres Mechanics on a three-year deal, returned to the Caledonian Stadium on Saturday as a substitute goalkeeper.

With reserve goalkeeper Szymon Rebilas out injured, Caley Thistle were permitted to sign Patterson on an emergency loan deal for their clash against Arbroath which they lost 2-0.

Patterson was also on loan at Forres Mechanics last season from Inverness Caledonian Thistle when he played in their final 11 matches in the Highland League.

Emergency loan deals last one week and it is not confirmed whether Patterson will also be available for Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s clash with Stenhousemuir on Saturday.

Musa Dibaga is the current number one goalkeeper at Inverness Caledonian Thistle having signed for the club in August.

The 24-year-old from Spain was originally brought in as the reserve goalkeeper for Jack Newman who was on loan from Dundee United at the beginning of the campaign.

Newman’s loan deal was terminated after Inverness Caledonian Thistle went into administration in October and Dibaga became the club’s undisputed first choice goalkeeper.
