Inverness Caley Thistle send two players out on loan to Highland League club and could make their debuts today





INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle have confirmed they have sent two players out on loan to Highland League clubs.

Defender Matthew Strachan has joined Highland League champions Brora Rangers on loan until January

The 20-year-old and has made 34 first-team appearances for Inverness

He has previously enjoyed two loan spells with the Cattachs and has also spent time on loan with fellow Highland League side Nairn County.

The left-back will link up with Caley Thistle teammates Robbie Thompson and Jack Walker.

In addition, striker Ben Gardiner has joined Clachnacuddin on loan until January.

The 18-year-old, has progressed through the Caley Thistle Academy system and signed full-time terms with the club in the summer. Ben had previously spent time on loan this season at fellow Highland League side Brora Rangers.

Clachnacuddin are set to take on Forres Mechanics in the Highland League this afternoon.

The teams meet for the first time in two weeks since Forres Mechanics beat Clachnacuddin 3-2 in the North of Scotland Cup final.

Meanwhile, Brora Rangers are set to face Formartine United in Pitmedden this afternoon.
