Inverness Caley Thistle reach £67,000 in bid to raise £200,000 to avoid administration next week

INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle have reached over £67,000 in its bid to reach a £200,000 target to avoid administration next week.

The Save ICT Fund is currently standing at £67,145 as of 4.15pm on Monday afternoon with over 1400 people making donations so far.

Compared to 4pm on Sunday, the figure is £2703 up on 24 hours previously, when it stood at £64,442.

The GoFundMe page, launched on Thursday, was given an immediate boost within its first 24 hours thanks to an anonymous £20,000 donation and a further £30,000 from over 800 donors.

On Saturday morning, the figure stood at £56,903.

Donations have come from supporters of other clubs, most notably fans of Everton, the former club of Caley Thistle boss Duncan Ferguson.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have said it needs to raise £200,000 by Wednesday, October 16 to avoid administration. It also needs to raise £1.4 to £1.6 million to last until the end of the season.

Manager Duncan Ferguson has given up his wages and is working for free as he attempts to help the financial situation the club is facing.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle are set to hold an open meeting tonight with shareholders and fans to discuss the current situation that the League One is facing. The meeting is taking place at 7.30pm.
