Inverness Caledonian Thistle began their Championship North campaign in ruthless fashion as they thrashed Westdyke at Millburn Academy.

Jodie Malcolm was the star of the show scoring a hat trick to fire Caley Thistle straight to the top of the league on goal difference.

Mary Macleod, Natalie Bodiam and Megan McCarthy scored the other goals along with an own goal in an impressive opening match of the season.

The match was only one of two games to survive the opening day due to Storm Ciara causing postponements across the country.
