Inverness Caledonian Thistle Women recorded what is believed to be their biggest ever win in the Scottish Women’s Football Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Hosting Hutchison Vale at Millburn Academy, the Caley Jags scored 15 goals without reply in a 15-0 demolition.

Julia Scott (pictured) led the way in front of goal for Inverness by scoring a remarkable six goals on her own.

However, her goalscoring exploits were backed up by a hat-trick from captain Kirsty Deans and doubles from Hannah Gordon and Natalie Bodiam.

Also chipping in on the scoreboard were Charlotte Simpson and Alex Whelan, who recently returned from international duty with Scotland’s age group set-up.

Manager Karen Mason believes it was the side’s biggest ever result since entering the Championship, although she could recall a 19-1 win over Panmure in cup action five years ago.

The win was a big boost to ICT’s goal difference, and moved them up to second in the standings, now only trailing table-toppers East Fife by a single point.
