It was the hosts who took the lead in the first half, with Kevin O’Hara finding the net midway through the first half.

Caley Thistle would equalise just after the hour mark through Alfie Bavidge, but that parity did not last long as Kyle MacDonald restored Hamilton’s advantage within two minites.

Inverness then went to chase the game in the latter stages, and conceded a third as Oli Shaw scored in stoppage time.

With the match being a battle of the top two going into the weekend, Hamilton have taken over as league leaders, with ICT dropping below Stenhousemuir as well to sit third.
