The defender was taken off after 71 minutes against Dundee last week, with manager John Robertson saying it was just cramp.

But McKay missed training on Monday and Tuesday, still suffering from a dead leg.

There was better news for John Robertson though as club captain Carl Tremarco (pictured) was back in training after also coming off as a precaution against Dundee.

Shaun Rooney is also back in full training after starting on the bench last time out, and will likely take McKay’s place if he is not fit.

James Vincent was also absent from the training pitch at the start of the week after a calf injury, and will be assessed today and tomorrow to see if the midfielder is fit enough for a place in the squad away at Alloa Athletic on Saturday.
