Five players to leave Inverness Caley Thistle, Alan Savage back on the board and three interested buyers – ICT administrators BDO face the media for the first time

Administrators have held their first press conference since taking control of Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

BDO were appointed to run the football club on Tuesday evening, looking to steer them back to financial stability.

The players include Adam Brooks, Cameron Ferguson, Flynn Duffy and Wallace Duffy have all been made redundant by the administrators, while the loan of goalkeeper Jack Newman has been cancelled.

BDO representative James Stephen also confirmed that there were no plans for off-field staff to be made redundant at this time.

It was announced that Billy Mckay will assist Scott Kellacher in handling first team coaching duties, while Alan Savage is returning to the board of directors – and will ensure the club has enough cash to see out the remainder of the season while the search for a buyer goes on.

That is now the administrators’ priority, and while work still needs to be done to set up a data room for potential buyers to look at, Stephen did say that three parties had registered their interest since BDO came into the Caledonian Stadium.

Kellacher was appointed as head coach yesterday, following former manager Duncan Ferguson being made redundant yesterday along with former assistant manager Gary Bollan and goalkeeping coach Stuart Garden.
