Boxing club orders soldiers' attention
A former Royal Marine reservist has teamed up with soldiers based at Fort George to help prepare them for an army boxing tournament.
Inverness City Boxing Club head coach Laurie Redfern is training 12 soldiers from 3 Scots at his gym in Merkinch to prepare for an inter-regiment competition.
The contest, which takes place in Edinburgh on Thursday, will see the dozen from Fort George compete against other athletes who are members of the armed forces.
Redfern has a special relationship with the regiment having trained them for previous competitions.
But he also has a strong family connection with the armed forces as he and his daughter Lorna Redfern both served with the army where they became boxing champions.
