Head coach Dave Carson believes Highland can pull off the double against league leaders Biggar to keep their National One title hopes alive.

Highland are the only team that have defeated Biggar this season with a 19-7 victory at Canal Park in Inverness in September.

But Biggar have gone on to win their next nine matches picking up bonus points in each to lead the division by five points with a game in hand on Highland.

Carson says to win in South Lanarkshire will be their biggest test of the season.

But he believes they are capable of victory just like they did in Inverness three months ago.

“The win helps us to go down there and think that they are not unbeatable,” said Carson.

“It was a fantastic game where they battered us for half an hour and we got two tries at the end not even giving them a bonus point.

“We will look at the videos to see where they have improved and look at how we can exploit gaps.

“There is no reason why we can’t do it again.”
