The Betfred Cup group stage fixtures have been released, and Inverness Caledonian Thistle will know that they will face their toughest challenge last - a trip to Scottish Premiership side Hearts.

Caley Thistle open their campaign at home against Cove Rangers on Saturday July 14, with the Highland League champions looking to bounce back from their controversial play-off defeat at the end of last season.

Then comes back to back mid-week evening games for ICT.

First up is a tough trip away to Cowdenbearth on July 17, before they host Raith Rovers at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium seven days later.

And last but certainly not least for Inverness is a trip to the capital to face manager John Robertson's former side at Tynecastle.

That match will also be the first time ICT play on the small screen this season, as it has been chosen for live television coverage.

Consequently it has been scheduled for a 3pm kick off on Sunday July 29.
