Nairn County retain services of attacker for next season in Highland League
Nairn County have confirmed that attacker Ben Kelly has agreed to a new deal to remain at Station Park next season.
Kelly, who joined Nairn County from North Caledonian League club Invergordon in 2023 , made 13 appearances for the club last season.
He also scored in the 2023 North of Scotland Cup final when Nairn County defeated Ross County 5-4 at Grant Street Park in Inverness.
Wayne Mackintosh, who became manager of Nairn County in April, has now moved to retain him as part of his squad for the forthcoming season.
He said: "We are delighted to secure Ben on a new contract going into the new season.
"With Scott Lisle moving on, we were light in that area of the park, so Ben agreeing to sign on with us again is a real boost."
He added: "Ben can cover a couple of positions for us with his versatility. I see him mainly playing off the right or just behind the striker, which is where I think his best performances have come in his time at the club.
"He has a great attitude, looks after himself and his fitness is really good, which is one of the main principles I want from everyone in the squad.
"Ben will get an opportunity to stake a claim to be a regular starter as we progress through pre-season and it is down to him to do his best to take his chance."
