INVERNESS Athletic have signed Clachnacuddin striker Connor Bunce and attacking midfielder Jack Davidson on loan.

The duo have joined the North Caledonian League Division Two outfit as part of the newly established link up with the Highland League club.

The pair made their debut in the 1–1 draw against Loch Ness in Muir of Ord.

Athletic manager Jason Golabek was pleased with the contribution both players made in the Inverness derby.

He says they both have a good chance of starting when they face Bonar Bridge tomorrow at Pavilion Park.

“They both made a good impact in the match last week,” he said.

“Connor got 45 minutes and caused Loch’s defence a lot of problems.

“I was really pleased with what I saw from both of them.”

Golabek says he was slightly disappointed with the draw last week, believing Loch Ness were there for the taking.

“We were disappointed not to win all three points to be honest,” he said.

“Before kick-off, I would have been happy with a point.

“However I was really impressed with what I saw from the players.”

Ryan Keil is set to return to the squad on Satuday, but Ross Munro is still out as he continues to recover from bruised ribs.

Athletic will go into tomorrow’s game against Bonar Bridge as heavy favourites.

The Sutherland outfit have conceded 16 goals in their first two matches.

Last week, they suffered a 7–3 defeat against Nairn County A.

But Golabek says the fact they scored three times at Nairn last week shows they do present a danger up front.

“On paper, you’d think we’d be favourites but I haven’t seen Bonar Bridge this season,” Golabek added.

“I’ve obviously seen their past results, but you can never take anything for granted.

“They will be a danger up front so we will need to be defensively organised again.”
