Restrictions on Inverness Caledonian Thistle being allowed to sign new players are set to be lifted after a Company Voluntary Arrangement was agreed to bring the club out of administration last week.

The transfer window is set to reopen on Monday with the club awaiting approval from the SPFL to be able to sign players. Former Ross County goalkeeper Logan Ross and ex-Caley Thistle defender Joe Chalmers have been linked in report with a move to the Caledonian Stadium.

The club are still believed to be locked in talks with defender Remi Savage and midfielder Paul Allan over new deals to remain at the club this season.

Goalkeeper Musa Dibaga and midfielder Charlie Gilmour have both moved on to new club with defender Lewis Nicolson retiring from football.

Speaking on Caley Thistle social media, Mckay says he is looking forward to his first full season as an assistant coach and working alongside head coach Scott Kellacher in their bid to be promoted from League One.

He said: “It has been different, there have been more phone calls than I normally get when I am on holiday. But this is part of the job, this is what I wanted to be involved in and it has been a good experience.

“We ended last season really well and I didn’t want it to end.

“I can’t wait for the new season to start and looking forward to seeing the squad we bring together and with pre-season, I am looking forward to it in a different light.”
