All star boxing squad heading to Monkstown

Highland Boxing Academy are aiming to come back from the biggest amateur boxing tournament in the world with medals.

Head coach Liam Foy is taking five of his young trainees to compete in the Monkstown International Box Cup which will feature over 900 boxers from 19 different countries.

He says that it is the best thing for their development.

"I don’t expect some of the clubs to be travelling as far as they are travelling without taking boxers of a high level.
