Ross County's manager was initially given a six-match ban back in April by the SFA's disciplinary committee when he was assistant manager of Hibernian.
Adams was ordered to leave the technical area during a match between the Hibees and Motherwell at Fir Park in January.
He appeared before the disciplinary committe in April following his fourth misconduct report within the determining period.
Adams will now serve a four-match suspension from the technical area commencing from next week, although the ban applies to competitive matches only.
