Young man arrested following a robbery in Inverness at weekend
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Inverness on Saturday, 8 June, 2024.
The incident happened on Old School Place, in the Merkinch area around 12.30pm.
Enquiries are ongoing said a Police Scotland spokesperson.
An appeal to the public for information was made following the incident which happened around 12.30pm.
Police said a 41-year-old man was approached by a man who demanded money from him. Although not injured in the incident he was left badly shaken.
Officers have been gathering any relevant CCTV footage for additional information on the suspect.
Detective constable Pam Dugdale said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information they have, even if they think it’s not relevant, please do pass it on.
“I would also ask motorists to check any dash cam equipment for any images which could assist the ongoing inquiry.”
