Woman kicked in the face, head and body after getting off a bus in Inverness

A WOMAN was repeatedly kicked in the face, head and body after getting off a bus in Inverness yesterday.

The 38-year-old was attacked in Oldtown Road at around 3.45pm yesterday.

She got off the bus near Glenshiel Place and was pulled to the ground by the attacker.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Sergeant Lucy Mackie said: “This was a frightening experience for the woman. These kinds of attacks will not be tolerated and we are conducting extensive enquiries to find who is responsible.

“We are keen to trace the members of the public who assisted the woman following the incident.

“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2258 of Tuesday, 26 November. Or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
