The all-star cast taking part in the inaugural Celebrity Traitors TV series - filmed in the Highlands - has been revealed.

A spin-off of the multi-award winning reality programme, presented by Claudia Winkleman, will see famous faces play the ultimate game of betrayal, detection, backstabbing and trust in the hope of winning a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

Joining Claudia at Ardross Castle near Alness as they compete to identify who are “faithfuls” or “traitors” are:

Celia Imrie – actor

Charlotte Church – singer/activist

Clare Balding - broadcaster and author

David Olusoga - historian and filmmaker

Joe Marler – former England rugby player and podcaster

Joe Wilkinson - comedian

Jonathan Ross - presenter

Kate Garraway - broadcaster

Lucy Beaumont - comedian

Mark Bonnar - actor

Nick Mohammed - actor and comedian

Niko Omilana - content creator

Paloma Faith - singer/songwriter and actor

Ruth Codd - actor

Stephen Fry - actor, writer, presenter

Tameka Empson – actor and comedian

Tom Daley – Olympian, author, broadcaster and entrepreneur

Ms Winkleman said: “We’re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said ‘yes’.

“I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie.”

The nine-part series will be shown on BBC One and iPlayer this autumn.

When The Traitors debuted in 2022, it was a hit and has seen phenomenal growth since.

Series three averaged 10.3 million viewers across all 12 episodes with the launch episode reaching 10.9 million.

The Traitors has also earned a raft of awards including the BAFTA TV Award for Best Reality & Constructed Factual, the NTA for Reality Competition, the RTS award for Entertainment and the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Entertainment Programme.

Claudia Winkleman also won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Entertainment Performance and the RTS award for Entertainment Performance and the Edinburgh TV Festival Variety Outstanding Achievement Award.

The Celebrity Traitors is produced by Studio Lambert Scotland for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and has been commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment commissioning for the BBC.
