A promotional tourism video is offering visitors and locals alike a bird's eye glimpse of the city from above.

The footage, a joint production for Inverness City Centre BID and Visit Inverness Loch Ness – a comprehensive resource for planning visits which showcases the area's history, culture and scenic beauty – has gone down a storm on social media.

It rises from above Falcon Square to show Inverness Castle, the River Ness, Cathedral, Eden Court and then Loch Ness in the distance.
