Hundreds of people from Nairn and surrounding areas attended The Inverness Courier’s Build the Bypass event on Friday night.

People in attendance had the opportunity to hear from current Transport Secretary Fiona Hyslop and Lawrence Shankman, a representative from Transport Scotland, alongside local MSP Fergus Ewing and other community figures.

Those there also had the chance to grill the Scottish Government Minister on why the bypass has still not been built and pushed her and the Transport Scotland official for an answer on when it will be started and completed.

After the event, members of the public shared their views on what was said and how they felt.
