A video shared by Highland Council shows a sneak peek into the ongoing works at Nairn’s newest school.

The reel sees depute head teacher at Nairn Academy, Sarah Abenheimer, taking viewers on a tour inside the building site for the new structure, whilst talking to some key people working on the project.

It is expected that the new building will be operational from the next academic year.

Works started in February this year — with the new school being part of a £61 million investment as part of the Scottish Government's Learning Estate Investment Programme (LEIP), with the contract awarded to Balfour Beatty.

Last week, Highlands and Islands MSP Emma Roddick welcomed the progress made on the delivery of the project.
