WATCH: Inverness students get special workshop from SIX performer
Youngsters at a performing arts studio were given the chance to take part in a special workshop today.
The senior dance group at Performers UK on Bank Street were visited by member of the musical SIX, Leesa Tulley.
She taught the lively bunch the routine to 'No Way' which is the first song played in the musical currently running at Eden Court.
Leesa told the class: "This is a lively dance full of sass and attitude.
"It is the song performed by the 'first wife' of Henry VIII’s in the show."
Leesa plays the role of two queens in the hit show, and alternates between these on a weekly basis.
Being provided these sorts of opportunities allows the young people to see what could lie ahead of them in the world of dance and the performing arts, said Performers UK owners.
Enrica Ross, co-founder of Performers UK said: "For kids here they can see that it is possible to do whatever they want. But the main thing about here is to build confidence and it is a safe space for them to be whoever they want to be."
Co-founder of the studio Victoria Rollo, added: "We had people coming in today to the workshop that don't normally come which is really great."
The group were given the opportunity to ask Leesa questions at the end of the workshop.
SIX is on until Saturday at Eden Court. Check for start times as performances are on at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm on different days so families and younger people can enjoy the show too, reflecting the 10+ age guidance.
