WATCH: Inverness public reveal what they would do as Prime Minister
The Inverness public have revealed what actions they would take as Prime Minister after Rishi Sunak called for a General Election.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has confirmed there will be a General election this summer set for July 4, making it an untypically short campaign of just 43 days in total.
From helping youngsters get onto the property ladder, to improving education policies, the people of Inverness have expressed what changes they would like to see come into fruition in the UK.
One person said: “I think a big issue at the moment is housing for young people and a lot of people are getting frustrated with the health care side of things as well, so I think policies that appeal to a lot of young people are really important.”
Another person added: “I would focus on education and student debt.”
While others were keen to make public transport free for everyone, as one person said: “I’d make free bus travel for everyone and I’d try to get more healthcare staff so the waiting lists aren’t so long.”
