WATCH: Inverness voice coach gets most important ‘Yes’ as he proposes to partner on The Voice UK Stage
It was an emotional performance for a popular Inverness singer and voice coach as he got down on one knee to ask his partner to marry him - in front of a TV audience.
The Highland Voices choir founder and Ness Factor voice coach Tony Henry (63) appeared at The Voice UK last night as a solo performer in a bid to come back to the stages.
Although his heartfelt performance of Ennio Morricone’s Nella Fantasia wasn’t enough to make the contests judges turn, Mr Henry heard the most important ‘yes’ from his partner Rebecca as he proposed to her after his song.
He said: “I didn’t get a turn - but the fact that I am here now is a memory I will never forget.”
In a post on Instagram he added: “I am so grateful to The Voice UK for the experience and their support in allowing me to propose to the love of my life Rebecca live on air ❤️🎤
“I have been reinvigorated by the whole process and have found my voice again - I will share with you my progress big love.”
