CHIEF executive of High Life Highland (HLH), Steve Walsh, was delighted on Saturday at the return of the Inverness Highland Games.

It was the first year that HLH took over the reins of the event, which saw more than 4000 people buy tickets ahead of the event.

Highlights included demonstrations and a Q&A from the Stoltman brothers and a brand new charity relay.

Mr Walsh said it was a great atmosphere on the day, and is looking forward to next year.

He added: "We'll have a follow up, we'll do a lessons exercise and we'll make sure we come back even better next year."
