After years of construction work and creative developments, the transformation of Inverness Castle is set to be complete by late August next year and we have taken a look around to see what it’s like so far.

From theatrical rooms to immersive experiences and exquisite dining areas; this new Highland experience is certainly of the ordinary.

With some areas nearing completion, as we reported earlier this week a number of Highland writers have now been engaged to to create the scripted material and interpretative signs for the project

The Inverness Castle Experience projecthas benefitted from £30 million in investment to support its redevelopment from the Scottish and UK governments, Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, and a range of other partners.

The Inverness Castle project is part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal, which is a joint initiative supported by up to £315 million investment from the UK and Scottish governments, Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and University of the Highlands and Islands, aimed at stimulating sustainable regional economic growth.
