WATCH: ‘Feels like everything is closing’- Public react to restaurant Revolution shutting down in Inverness
The restaurant chain, Revolution, announced yesterday (Tuesday, July 16) that their Inverness branch is set to close next month after years in the city centre, along Church Street.
After opening its doors in 2017, Revolution will be closing for good on Sunday, August 11, 2024.
Those from Inverness, as well as visitors, were saddened to hear about the chain's departure, and thought it was a ‘shame’ to lose another business in the city centre.
One couple said: “It just feels like everything is closing. There's nothing left.”
Another person added: “That is a shame. I am not a big fan of chains, but it is one that I go into, especially for cocktails, it is a nice little place.
“This town does it all the time with chains, they seem to get rid of them so quickly and I am surprised Revolution lasted as long as it did compared to the rest.
“I am glad that it lasted a while, but it is sad that it’s going to go.”
The team have invited those in and around Inverness to join them for some final drinks and food prior to their departure, in addition to a leaving party that is set to be announced in the next few weeks.
