WATCH: Farm Ness creates a spook-tacular Halloween wonderland
Farm Ness, next to Loch Ness in Inverness-shire, created a one of a kind Halloween experience at the weekend for the whole family to enjoy.
From handmade props, a witches house, pumpkin picking and toasting smores to all the animals dressed up in their very own Halloween costumes. The farm went above and beyond to host a spook-tacular event for all ages.
Joanna and Donald Fraser, who own and run Farm Ness, were blown away by the turn out of the event and how far people had travelled to be a part of it.
Joanna said: “The turnout has been absolutely amazing and we have been really busy every day.
“We have had people visiting from all over the Highlands, but I think the furthest people have travelled is from Shetland and Orkney as well as Lewis.
“There was a ‘pinch me moment' when I was just thinking, I cannot believe that all these people are coming from the Highlands and Islands and then they were bumping into each other on the farm. They didn’t know the other people were coming and they hadn’t seen each other in years, but yet there was this big meet up of people. It is very surreal.”
Farm Ness have curated these ghostly events for three years now, and only plan to expand on their horror-ific ideas.
Joanna has always been keen to create fun, lighthearted events for folk to enjoy when any holiday approaches, and will be continuing the festivities during Christmas where they will be hosting another themed event.
When talking about what is to be expected for Farmer Christmas, Joanna said: “It will be our fourth year of Farmer Christmas and every year I think it becomes a more well oiled machine.
“This year is going to be our best year yet because we have an elf academy, so you learn how to become an elf. We have the elf village for younger ones and then we have a tractor and trailer go out into the fields of Farm Ness as well as meet Santa Claus.”
All this and more is set to arrive at Farm Ness from December 1 until December 22, 2024.
