An Inverness gym owner is appealing for information after CCTV caught a weight being taken from the premises.

Tom Ashmole, who runs Gym 300 in Carsegate Road, posted the video on his Facebook page which shows a person wearing a motorcycle helmet.

The footage shows the person looking around before approaching the 56lb weight – just over 25kg – and carrying it away.

In his post, Mr Ashmole asked: "Anyone recognise this person who stole a 56lb weight on Sunday, June 7, at 1.10pm. Unfortunately our camera did not pick up the number plate on the moped."

He said he was looking to see if there was more video evidence, from neighbouring businesses, before reporting the matter to the police.
