Amy MacDonald, wowed the crowds last night as she played an ensemble of her songs to the Inverness audience.

Presented by LCC Live, at Northern Meeting park, the 34 year-old opened her set up with 'We Could Be So Much More' a song from her 2020 album The Human Demands.

The Scottish-singer captivated the buzzing crowd with both her music quick wit.

Providing descriptions of why she wrote her songs, and encouraging young girls to get into the music profession, Amy was nothing short of inspirational.

Amy and her band played her classics This is the Life, Mr Rock and Roll and The Hudson.

Coming back for her encore, Amy played a solo stripped back version of Bruce Springteen's Dancing in the Dark.

Her talented band returned for the closing number Let's Start A Band from her first album, This is the Life, released in 2007.

Support acts included Inverness artist Dylan James Tierney who described the night as, "Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable."

He was followed by Edinburgh-born Callum Beattie who played his well known song Salamandar Street amongst his other crowd-pleasers.

LCC Live held a wonderful, well organised event.

The legendary Les Kidger of LCC Live certainly knows how to put on a good show alongside the rest of his professional team.
