Warning for Inverness woman who failed to comply with court order

A woman who has failed to follow a community payback order imposed for an assault in 2018 has been placed on a new supervision order and warned she faces jail if she doesn't comply.

Simone Davis (27) of Woodlands Terrace, Westhill, Inverness was convicted of pulling a woman by the hair in Springfield Gardens on March 10, 2018 and placed on a community payback order to undergo supervision and a programme for female offenders.

Davis was sentenced in February of 2019 but had breached the order by non attendance as part of the programme and was brought back to court in August.

Her solicitor Claire Hagan said a report before the court was positive in that it showed she was now beginning to engage with the order.

But Sheriff Matheson said this was the second time Davis had been brought to court for failure to comply.

She revoked the previous order and again placed her on 18 months supervision.

She warned Davis that the order was an alternative to custody and if she did not comply she could face custody.
