AS well as presenting the exciting new Christopher Nolan thriller Tenet when it reopens on Wednesday, Vue Inverness is screening a set of all-time greats on the big screen.

The venue will show a range of fan favourites, including the entire Twilight Saga, The Empire Strikes Back, Shaun of the Dead and kids of all ages will be thrilled by the return of the Harry Potter series.

Twilight fans can relive the unfolding of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan’s mesmerising romance through each instalment in the series of films that catapulted Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to worldwide stardom.

Cinematic classics will be seen in all their glory, including the 40th anniversary edition of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

Watch the battle between the Jedi and the Sith, as Darth Vader and the Emperor lead the Galactic Empire in pursuit of Luke Skywalker and the rest of the Rebel Alliance.

And as well as classic films, Vue Inverness will be showcasing the work of some renowned filmmakers, including satirical master Edgar Wright, known for his fast-paced cult films such as Shaun of the Dead. Starring his frequent collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, the critically-acclaimed zombie comedy makes its return to the cinema this month along with some of Wright’s other work.

There is also plenty for families returning to the cinema, with old classics and newer content alike.

The enchanting Harry Potter series about JK Rowling’s boy wizard will be playing in chronological order at Vue, and are sure to be popular with grown-up fans from the first time around and children new to the franchise.

Eduardo Leal, head of screen content at Vue Entertainment, said: “It feels great to be welcoming customers through our doors again, and with such a fantastic and diverse array of classic content, we really want them to know that cinema is back.

“Now more than ever, great stories need a big screen, and I think the programme we have coming up in the coming weeks features some of the best ever examples of why film really is best enjoyed in the top quality screen and sound that we offer.”

This week, Vue is also supporting the #lovecinema campaign spearheaded by Cinema First, which aims to celebrate the big screen experience and remind audiences across the country of its magic.

The campaign celebrates the nation’s love of cinema, a central part of the community and the most accessible and popular form of ticketed cultural entertainment in the UK.
