Would-be models of all ages, shapes and sizes are invited to head to the Eastgate shopping centre in Inverness on Monday to sign up for a fund-raising fashion show.

The New York New York Fashion Show, combined with a silent auction, will be held in the centre on 26th October to raise money for the £1 million Raigmore Children’s Ward Appeal.

Launched last year by the ARCHIE Foundation in conjunction with The Inverness Courier, the aim is to create a more child-centred and family-focused department for sick children. A wide range of fund-raising events by individuals, organisations and companies across the region has pushed the total so far to more than £850,000.

Monday’s casting call for the fashion show will be in the former Joy outlet (next to French Connection) between 11am and 3pm. John Baikie Photography will do professional test photo shoots of prospective models who need to be available for a rehearsal on 10th October.

The new season’s range, from stores across the centre, will be showcased at the event to be hosted by drag artist Scarlet Diamonte.

The show will also include performances by Dance FX and the cast from Chicago Nights — another fund-raising show being staged next month at the Ironworks in Inverness.
