Over the last few days Jackie Weaver has become probably the most unlikely internet star ever.

And now it's been revealed that the 62-year-old's no-nonsense approach to life was originally forged in Moray.

Jackie has stated that her mum is from Forres.

What's more, her mum met her dad while he was serving at RAF Kinloss.

In a short interview with the Daily Record today, she says that her RAF engineer father "fell in love with the local lass".

Jackie owes her unexpected fame to a highly improbable source – an online meeting of the Handforth Parish Council in Cheshire.

"You have no authority here Jackie Weaver" has since become a national catchphrase after footage of the hilariously bad-tempered proceedings went viral.

Unimpressed with the antics of some of the councillors, Jackie calmly decided to kick them out of the meeting.
