UPDATE: ‘Unexplained’ death of man at Ness Islands in Inverness

Police are investigating the death of a man at the Ness Islands in Inverness this morning.

Part of the popular beauty spot has been blocked off by officers.

A force spokesperson said: “We received a report of the death of a man on the Ness Islands at around 10.50am on Monday, July 15.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
