Dingwall Academy and Resolis Primary Nursery are both closed today.

Dingwall Academy is closed to pupils from S1-S3 but open for senior pupils while Resolis Primary Nursery, on the Black Isle, is shut. The rest of the primary is open.

The reasons for the closures are given as "unforeseen circumstances" on Highland Council's website this morning.

Craighill and Knockbreck Primaries in Tain remain closed.

They were shut on Monday as a precautionary measure after a pupil and a member of staff were taken ill over the weekend.

It was also announced yesterday that Charleston Academy in Inverness was to be partially closed with Millburn Academy also open only to S4-6 pupils for the rest of this week.

Inverness Royal Academy told parents yesterday that staffing levels mean S1 pupils should not go to school today and that the situation would be reviewed daily.

As the coronavirus situation develops First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said yesterday that it was "highly possible" nationwide school closures could be seen in a matter of days.
