Crash on A87 Great Glen to Skye road near Balmacara sees two hospitalised at Belford Hospital in Fort William and one driver charged

Two people were transported to hospital after a collision on a Highland trunk road — with one driver being charged.

Earlier today a three-car crash saw the closure of the A87 Great Glen to Skye road near Balmacara between 12.45pm and just before 3pm.

Police have confirmed that one driver has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence following the incident.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1244 hours today to attend a road traffic collision on the A87 and transported two patients to Belford Hospital.”
