UPDATE: Police appeal for information after youths leave picnic bench in the middle of busy Barn Church Road in Culloden

Police in Culloden are appealing for information relating to a bench that was left in the middle of a main road.

It is understood that it was abandoned by a group of youths in Barn Church Road last night.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "About 11pm on Sunday, October 11, officers received a report about youths placing a bench across the road, and blocking it, on Barn Church Road in Inverness.

"On police arrival the bench had been moved to the side of the road. Officers at Inverness would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or have any information about it to contact them."

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the 101 number quoting the reference number 3818 of October 11.
