An unattended candle is believed to have caused a small house fire that sparked an emergency alert near Inverness city centre this afternoon.

Fire crews and an ambulance rushed to the city’s Duncraig Street, near Central Primary School around 2.45 pm today after a member of the public reported seeing flames through a window at the premises.
